Welcome

Anyone who is interested in their family history will find new friends here. Our members range from the beginner who has just discovered an old box of Grandma’s letters and photos, to members who are accredited, professional genealogists.  Both make use of our library, online resources, and share their experiences with other members.

We hold monthly meetings from October through April where experienced members share genealogical knowledge and techniques. We regularly bring in speakers who have in-depth knowledge of a variety of genealogy or history related topics.

While most of our members are year-round residents, their focus varies from local to international in scope. Anyone who has recently moved here from out-of-state will very quickly feel right at home with us. The substantial number of seasonal members add flavor to our meetings. Our library reflects those diverse interests and over the years we have amassed an extensive collection of over 13,000 books plus hundreds of CDs, microfiche, and other items, covering a very large range of genealogical and historical interests. Over the past few years we have made a concerted effort to expand our offerings of online databases so that both members and non-members can further their family research from home.

We hope you will realize the benefits in joining our society, whether your research is focused on Palm Beach County area, or some other part of the state, or country. Cruise our website, attend our meetings, read our publications, and generally get to know us, whether for a few weeks or several months. We would love the opportunity to have you join us.  Check out our schedule of upcoming events, and then plan to take part whenever you have the opportunity. We look forward to having you as our newest member.
